One Little Spark Pt. 1 - Prologue
August, 2001 — The humid summer heat in Florida has become a nuisance to the many tourists and inhabits down below like a wheezing bucktoothed nerd at grammar school constantly breathing down your neck to no end. With many of the brightly colored attractions radiating back the light of the Sun, the guests at Epcot feel the park offers nothing more than light all around. So much so that even the shadows cast underneath have hardly been given notice. Light and sunshine, the fluffy whites scattered along the brilliant blue stratosphere without daring to block the heavenly day-giving star. Half of the City of Tomorrow-made theme park was made to house all things that unify the world without second-guessing; all the cultures of the world coming together in their small, small world. The other half serves as the instrumental need for innovation by means of science and community, both of which the world has learned to live with over the constant course of time. Pavilions such as the

One Little Spark Pt. 2 - Chapter 11
The morning hues of the gloomy dark gray clouds illuminate into a lighter shade as the missing sun rises behind them. Morgan has woken from her bed while Nigel subtly snores in his chair. The queen swoops to a screen at the side of the room farthest from the doctor and changes from her sleeping garments to something more fitting with her style. She dresses up in a long, black, and silk gown that drapes straight to the floor, overlapping her toes by an inch. The hem to her sleeves is netted in brown, making it obvious as a sleeveless dress without fully exposing her flesh. She slips into her most comfortable shoes, and wraps a neck-strap necklace with golden chains and thin silver coins below, long and thin golden earrings, and a crown to top it off, golden, feminine, and powerful altogether. It was always unnecessary for Morgan to wear any makeup at all, for her beauty, even to this day so far in her life, has remained flawless by age. To know the secret of her

Chapter 18: The Dance Year: 1891 Age: 15 years Month: October Br’er Fox took a sip from his cup, tasting the bitter whiskey go down his throat and looked around. There were a lot of juvenile critters at this social, most of them standing around with their friends, chatting and gossiping about whatever it was young’uns’ talked about. There were a couple of groups inside the barn dancing and he was pretty sure he saw a few wander off. Shaking his head to get that thought out of his mind, he took another drink, happy that despite the abundance of adolescence, there were still alcoholic drinks available. It seemed to be the only reason the adults were at this thing anyways, if the crowd around the table was any indication. It had been a couple years since he’d had a drink, at least at public gatherings. He was always just a tad worried that he might have a little too much again and end up with another ‘accidental surprise.’ He loved Farryn, but the thought of potentially having another

Chapter 17: First Heartaches Year: 1890 Age: 14 years Month: February February. It was the only month out of the year that Br’er Fox couldn’t stand. It probably had to do with the fact that the entire month was dedicated to love. Most of the other critters would be love-struck, fall head over heels, or do other silly things. He found all of it ridiculous. There was no need to act so foolish just because one saw a pretty face. Not that he had any reason to talk; he used to act just as brainless as the others. Of course, that was before he wound up married. He didn’t really see a point to it now. At least the whole ‘love-struck phase’ had not appeared to hit Farryn yet. Thank the Lord. If it ever did, he might just go slink around whenever she wasn’t home just to make sure no one tried any funny business with her. She probably wouldn’t appreciate that, but he didn’t care. She was his daughter and it was his job to ensure that she was safe, wasn’t it? He was too distracted by his own

Unexpected Delights
Queen Anna of Arendelle sat up in her massive king-sized bed, half a dozen pillows propping her up as she sewed by candlelight. Her swollen ankles were resting on another pillow, the fire across her bedchamber warming her toes. She stuck her tongue out the corner of her mouth as she finished the arm to her latest baby nightgown. She had weeks left to finish as many clothes as possible for her children and she was terribly behind. She leaned further back against the pillows, resting a hand on her huge belly. When Pabbie told her a few months ago he sensed “two souls” growing in her, she nearly fainted. Being pregnant in the first place had its ups and downs, but carrying twins? That was completely unexpected. After the initial shock wore off, Anna kicked preparations into high gear. She was not going to fail at being a mother. Not if she had anything to say about it. The bedchamber door opened and her husband Kristoff stumbled inside. He shut the door and leaned back against it with a
Danse Macabre (Saint-Saiens)
The Beautiful Stranger (A legend from Quebec)
A woman named Rose that loves to dance too much convinces her father to have a Mardi Gras party at their home, on the eve of Ash Wednesday. The father agrees on condition that everyone stops dancing at Midnight. Rose promises until, during the evening a beguiling stranger appears and invites her to dance (although she is promised to another man) When midnight strikes, they keep dancing until the stranger reveals himself as the Devil and, weren't it from a priest throwing holy water on him, would have dragged poor Rose to Hell. Nevertheless, he kisses her before diss

Chapter 16: Childhood Past Year: 1888 Month: December Age: 12 years “Ya know, I actually think it looks betta’ where it was.” “Damn it woman! I jest moved it ova’ ‘ere!” Br’er Fox said angrily, while sending his wife a glare. “Don’ shout at me, mister. I made ya dinna” she replied with a glare of her own. “Kin you move it to de middle?” Letting out an annoyed sigh, he started pushing the cabinet back towards the middle of the wall. It was the day before Farryn’s thirteenth birthday and after begging for years to have a birthday party, he finally caved, if only because he was getting annoyed by her constant whining about it. Her mother was ecstatic, however. And what better time to throw a party than for being thirteen? He was less than excited about it. He already disliked being around other folks and only ever went to parties to eat the free food and drinks provided. But since this was one that they were throwing, nothing was going to be free. And he really did not want others
Jessica Caloway arrives at the Eyrie Building. She enters the elevator and goes to the top floor. Its been almost a year since she was freed from Haken's control. Though often she has nightmares, her spirit is resilent as ever. She exits the elevator
Owen: Ah Miss Caloway. You are nothing but punctual
Jessica: Time waits for no one as they say. I rather have the reverse. Are they up yet?
Owen: They have awoken some minutes ago. You know your way

Chapter 15: Family Pains Year: 1887 Age: 11 years Month: September Br’er Fox looked at the letter that he brought with him, making sure he it was the correct day and time. It was a letter from Br’er Wolf, his cousin once removed. He was one of the few family members he still kept in touch with. Or tried to at least. He’d been meaning to write him for a while but it always slipped his mind. He received a letter a few days ago from him, saying that he was passing through the county and wanted to catch up real quick on what’s been going on. Normally, he would be happy to have the wolfs’ presence; he was a regular thief and criminal like himself. They would usually talk about their recent schemes and how smart they were or laugh at others misfortunes. This time was different. He’d been feeling pretty down lately and hadn’t been successful in any of his tricks recently. Maybe a little family reunion was exactly what he needed to get back in the swing of things. When he first told her

Chapter 4: A New Friend
With the birth of Pinocchio, Geppetto closed up business in the workshop for a time to train himself in the art of childcare. Raising a son alone was going to be hard. But he had promised Francesca that would not go back on it. It wasn't long before word spread of the child. The Villagers, even Geppetto's most loyal customers mourned Francesca's loss, but felt joy for Geppetto and his new son. Soon, Geppetto invited his friends and neighbors to meet the little bundle of joy. They all brought gifts for both father and son. Everyone admired the boy and loved him instantly.
But contrary to popular belief, Pinocchio was
